Have you ever packed your dreams, a deck of cards, and a camera, and boarded a bus that takes you straight into the heart of India’s biggest plastic manufacturing exhibition?
We did. And let us tell you, Plastasia 2025 wasn’t just an exhibition for us. It was the event. A melting pot of industry giants, a launchpad for our ideas, and a rollercoaster ride we’ll never forget.
On the 8th of May, we left Mumbai behind with five minds, five roles, and one mission. Our team included myself, Anish (the content guy and your narrator), Ganesh (our social media wizard), Lakshman (our powerhouse Sales Manager), Ubraj (Marketing mastermind), and Anurag (our quiet but sharp NPD engineer). We crammed into a bus not just with bags and brochures, but with anticipation, creative chaos, and a playlist on shuffle.
“Are we ready?” “Do you think the stall’s set up already?” “What if we forget our intro lines?” These were just a few of the questions buzzing louder than the engine.
By 7:30 PM, we touched Bangalore. A city that welcomed us with neon lights, warm air, and a craving for biryani. We checked into our rooms, freshened up, ordered food, and pulled out a deck of cards. A casual game turned into laughter therapy. Somewhere between teasing each other and playing old-school Bollywood music, we reminded ourselves we’re here to represent Thriam. While others drifted to sleep, we created reels. There was excitement, nervousness, and a quiet voice in each heart whispering, “Tomorrow is big.”
The alarm buzzed at 6:00 AM. We snoozed. Then again at 6:10. No snoozing this time.
Running on adrenaline and absolutely no breakfast, we rushed to BIEC Bangalore, our battlefield for the next four days. And just as luck would have it, we had no official Plastasia IDs. But perhaps the fire in our eyes or Ganesh’s puppy-face pleas did the trick, because the kind souls at the entrance allowed us in after verifying our Thriam credentials. It was one of those small but defining moments that remind you, corporate kindness still exists.
Then we saw it. The hall. Massive. Gleaming. Buzzing with possibilities. With over 770 exhibitors, it felt like we had walked into the heart of India’s manufacturing universe. Axxicon, Metravib, Polymerupdate, LookingPlas… the big leagues were all here. And right there, amidst all that, stood our stall. Our very own Thriam.
At 10:00 AM sharp, Plastasia 2025 was inaugurated by Professor Rajeev Gowda. The traditional lamp-lighting ceremony brought a touch of culture to this sea of technology. It was a beautiful reminder that in India, even the most cutting-edge event carries the warmth of tradition.
Our CSO and Manufacturing Head soon arrived, energizing the team with direction and encouragement. Brochures were stacked. Product samples displayed. Camera angles were chosen. Ganesh was already on his second reel of the day. And just like that, our stall was alive.
Day 1 wasn’t just about numbers. It was about making a mark. From college students to seasoned buyers, people didn’t just pass by, they stopped. And we? We weren’t just attendees. We were storytellers. Problem-solvers. Creators.
Every conversation sparked something new. A vendor from Coimbatore was curious about our EDM sparking capabilities. A buyer from Delhi loved our injection molded capacitor clamps. A student from CIPET said the words that made our day, “You guys make engineering look cool.”
We took turns managing the footfall. While Lakshman pitched like a pro, Anurag explained our process like a teacher, Ganesh filmed every candid moment, I scribbled content ideas, and Ubraj made sure nothing fell out of place. It wasn’t all smooth. Someone misplaced a cardholder. Someone else spilled coffee on the feedback forms. But that’s what makes it real, right? Because real exhibitions aren’t perfect. They’re human.
Back in the hotel, it was fries, feedback, and phones. We were exhausted, but the energy was still electric. We watched our reel from the night before. It had already crossed 1,000 views. “Not bad for a bunch of night owls,” someone said with a grin.
Between munching and memes, we posted stories, tagged visitors, and read DMs from new followers. Our online presence, much like our offline game, had officially kicked in.
Over the next three days, our confidence sharpened. Our intros became smoother. Our booth presence stronger. We ran demos of compression molding, injection molding, and 3D printing. A PSU official showed keen interest in our defense-grade tooling. Conversations turned into connections. Visitors didn’t just take flyers, they lingered, they learned, and they left remembering Thriam.
What do we carry back from Plastasia 2025? More than just business cards.
We’ll remember the proud smile on the face of our team when someone said, “We’ve been following your LinkedIn.” We’ll remember the laughter echoing through our hotel room as we mimicked client questions. We’ll remember Anurag explaining complex designs in simple, beautiful ways. We’ll remember Ganesh’s reel that crossed 3,000 views in one morning. Lakshman’s effortless pitch that turned into a solid lead. And me, soaking it all in, turning our lived moments into this very blog.
And yes, the group hug on the final day. That moment where five tired, passionate people looked around and whispered, “We did it.”
When we finally boarded our return bus, it was quieter. Not out of exhaustion, but transformation. Plastasia didn’t just showcase innovation, it mirrored it back into us. It reminded us what we’re capable of as a team. It gave Thriam a stage, and we made sure to leave a spark.
From a hotel room filled with cards and music in Bangalore, to a stall bursting with possibilities at BIEC, we didn’t just visit Plastasia. We lived it. We owned it. We made our mark.
Would we do it again? In a heartbeat.
But next time… someone please pack the breakfast.
Stay tuned for Day 2, where things got louder, leads got hotter, and the stories got even crazier. Because this isn’t the end. It’s just the beginning.
